ABOUT US

The Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance is the home for all accounting professionals whether new to the field, experienced or considering a career transition.

The mission of AFWA is to enable professionals in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.

The Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance was formed as the American Society of Women Accountants in 1938 to increase the opportunities for women in all fields of accounting and finance. Members include partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, academicians, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the work force. The majority of our members have attained professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CIA, and CFP.

AFWA is a national association with one Montana chapter. Our chapters offer leadership, networking and educational opportunities. Participating in chapter meetings, seminars, regional & national conferences allow members to maximize the value of their AFWA membership.

The Billings Chapter was formed in 1976 and gives our members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as we support our community and future accounting and financial professionals. Our chapter members are accounting and financial professionals with a variety of accounting and financial experience. We have young professionals, mid level professionals and retirees sharing their career experiences. We meet for networking, lunch and continuing professional education on the third Wednesday of each month, except July and August. Visit the Meetings page for information on our next event.
